I want one of these in that pistachio green color.
Fiat 500 1957 edition

Regular 500s are banned from SCCA AutoX, so no thanks.

Why, oh why, did they not offer the 50's colors on the Abarth.

Because it would be so awesome your head would explode
![]() 07/10/2014 at 20:20 |

Why?
![]() 07/10/2014 at 20:22 |

Too top-heavy I believe.

I question everyone who questions your sexuality or manliness. The same way a manly man wears a pink shirt, you rock that shit.

Stability, and like Blondude said, top heavy.

A man in a pink shirt driving this car confidently might as well have "real man" tattooed on his forehead.
It's like guys that drove New Beetles in outrageous colors and dressed decently. They always seemed to be married and had kids. Stereotypes to the wind.

I want those wheels for mine!

I didn't find out about this till after I got mine...but I don't care, I love my little car.

I was informed today that if I put a glasspack on my 500 I would truly be a fag. By a teenager. I told him my son would laugh at that. On a related note, THIS VIDEO, plus a phone call about warranty to my local dealer, convinced me to do so anyway:

Ouch. Oh well, I've never heard a bad thing about it so far.

The only people who question someone's sexuality over the car they drive or how they dress is most likely questioning their own.

There is one bad thing, I am sorry to report. The traction control turns off, but the stability control does not. At least that I've found. This severely limits liftoff oversteer hooning.

Well that sucks. Liftoff oversteer is fun AF.
![]() 07/10/2014 at 21:05 |

Indeed. I'm not sure if it can be disabled without removal of fuses, which I don't want to do just for occasional hooning.

Could I change this?

I want one too.

Thank you

My favorite non Abarth Fiat.

That is a good sound.

Thats crazy.

I dont know maybe you should have listened to that teen after all teenagers know everything and are always correct. sarcasm. that thing sounds great!

I *might* have acted similarly when I was a teenager, thankfully I grew out of it. I'm also thinking about replacing the aft muffler and tip as well...then I had another idea, since I want to use this kit we sell at work to copper coat my wheels, why not copper coat a dual tip on a performance muffler, and then let the heat discolor it prettily? That'd be boss.

Yeah, it has that growly note that folks don't expect from a 4banger...I got a similar effect when I put a glasspack on my 240sx. (note: if you strap a phone to your head, remember to do it in landscape. doh.)

I second everyone affirming car choice has no bearing on manliness, except to idiots. My nana handed down her pink Mercury to me, but before I got my license, my dad drove the hell out of it. He's a civil engineer, and one time some guy at a construction site was a dick about the car.
One time .

PAINTED RIMS! Great to see some color return that isn't silver, or black.
